lowering the magnum
I chopped my springs, front and back, car looks so hott. I should have pics soon
It rides pretty good, little bit of bounce, and you really have to be carefull in the driveway now.
maybe someday I can afford the bags

I know most of us are under a budget when it comes to our cars and mods, but has any one thought of airbag supspenion replacements for springs? You could then in theory with some hydraulics lower the car like you want it, and lift it on demand to get over those dips in the road.
you can, just got off the phone with Jerry at AIM industries in arizona, air bag kits start at 1695.00,
but he also told me something vert interesting, they also sell 2" drop springs for 139.00 for a set of four
go to http://www.truckn-store.com for more info, look in the chrysler section for the bags, I noticed the stage one and two are the same price
don't know why but hey both are a pretty could deal. The springs are not available online yet but should be coming soon

I have a question. If $$$ was not an issue, what would be the best way to lower the magnum? A way that will last a "long" time and be very dependable? Springs? Coilovers? or Airbag system? I am really looking for a longasting and dependable way. (remember if $$$ was not an issue) I would like to go with airbags, but my car would be a daily driver about 50 miles a day. Just want to know if airbags would be a dependable and long lasting way. THanks

airbags all the way, if your curious about the life expectency you should know that the were originally devloped for semi-trucks
so they should not were out

(With a little smirk, and not with malice)
Obviously you have never seen a 58 Olsmobile on airbags. Oops, they seldom were, mostly they sat on the ground.
Of course that was a long time ago and airbags like everything else on our cars are much, much better today.
The good old days weren't good, just old.
Thanks Done & Undropped,
I am taking your reply as a thumbs up for airbags right? If I do, are you saying that for a daily driver it is not to much? How long do you expect the bags to last and/or what will the life of the bags will be unyil I will need to change it out? Thanks for your opinions!

Air bags are definitely the way to go. Every car I see modified has them. Today's airbags are better then earlier versions. Also I think the volkswagon toureg or the Porche cayanne (SUV) has them in it. One of them does. They have a four stage suppension ride. So it sets the height of the car and softness fo the ride depending on road use, off road use, towing, etc.
