lowering the magnum
found out something interesting today inside the rear shock boot is a hard foam dampner that makes the car ride real bad when you lower 2-3 inches
i removed those wonderful little devices and now it rides almost as good as stock.
just remember that drive ways and speed bumps suck, damn exhaust tips

so is it hard to put in some airbags? I heard that it really isn't. I just ordered some 20"s for mine and I am kinda nervous that the ride will be too stiff, or that it will be a bit lower. [actually I am in that class of former Dakota owners who hit the curb to park.]

With 20" you will have to have 275/40/20 tires to keep your speedo correct. This tire matches the stock RT tires. I did notice a little different ride but nothing to worry about. Also have the lowering spring for it but have not had time in my shop to get installed. From other posts on other boards the ride will be stiffer with the lowering springs, but the perfornance side will be worth it., then again I have had a car or truck that I have not lowered.[8D]

well actually, I ordered 245 40 20s, but I have the ST so I THINK that it is different. I was looking at airbag lifts, but someone said that these don't work too good in this Ohio cold, so maybe I will just lower it a bit. Do you know if the newer airbags withstand the cold better, or not?
