I read on another post to try to use FISHING LINE, as the heat could damage the paint. The fishing line can 'saw/cut' through the glue and then it can be rubbed off by simply balling it up, like rubber cement.

I just waited for a hot day to peel back on the moulding. Then used adhesive glue remover (like goo-gone) to get the residue off. If yo do use a hair dryer be careful not to get the paint too hot that it would be soft. Nothing like kicking yourself for having a big glob of paint sticking to the moulding in your hand.

Can anyone address the process for removing the rear wiper. Not that I want to get rid of it, but on mine, the little 'U' shaped end (Bottom of the wiper arm) broke off and I need to get a new wiper assembly.
Anyone?

Still 443,

Nope...

I even checked around (2) other Magnum Sites and couldn't find exactly what you are looking for. Bite the Bullet and go see the Service Guys at your Dodge Dealer, ask them for advice. You may need to call first, so you don't have to wait forever to talk to someone.

Thanks Jimmy. I'm due for an oil change in a couple of weeks so I'll drop by before that so they'll have time to order it. I'll just have them install it when I go back.

I remove my rear wiper during the summer months and re-install it in the winter. I just took an 800 mile trip with rain every day. Without the wiper and washer, I'd have been stopping every 50 miles to clean the rear window. I am serious! It gets so filthy, so quick, it's ridiculous. Here's what I do in the summer. I pull the wiper and I have a shiny stainless steel sleeve held on with a chrome acorn nut I put on in its place. Not the best looking, but way better than the wiper.

still443 and others,
The wiper is held on with a small metric nut. Don't remember the size, but the back side of the wiper (where the shaft is) is a hinged cover. Just snap it up gently and you'll see the nut. The shaft is a tapered, grooved thingy with the male threads. Gently pry up on the wiper assembly to get it off. Don't scratch your baby. You may have to use a little force, a tap with a hammer while pulling up, or puller the first time. Just don't overtighten the nut when you put it back on and it will be easy next time. The stainless steel sleeve (no rust) is some kind of concrete expansion sleeve and is also tapered on the inside. I went to my local nut and bolt supplier and showed him what I needed and that is what he came up with. I had to use my carbide cutoff saw to cut it to the correct length though. Finding the metric acorn nut was also fun. I think I finally found it at Home Depot or Lowes...don't remember. Anyway, in the winter I take it off, wrap it in cloth and put it in the spare tire well so it won't rattle around. It'll be going back on in a week or so.

Danko,
Uh, no... The Magnum SRT-8 Concept Car did not come shaved. In fact, it has more Molding than my RT... Go figure. Guess they didn't want that beauty 'Door-Dinged'.
