Default Exhaust- Which does not void PT Warranty?

The guy at the local Dodge Mopar shop says that the only exhaust that does not void the power train warranty is their Borla High flow cat system. Is this correct?
our thoughts guys...
I'm still working on a "deal" with the dealership to purchase a 05 Black RT....

The guys is full of it. Exhaust system does not impact the warranty in and way other than the exhaust is no longer covered.

These dealers are really trying to scare people away, aren't they? I work at a dealer, we would never give anyone a hard time about mod's like that. We do alot of SRT4 work, some stuff you just can't warranty.....like stupidity.

As long as it is a cat-back system, it will not affect your warranty.

The only way it will effect the warranty is if they can prove a defect was caused by the change, and then you can contact the manufacture of the exhaust system and they might cover it, or at least hassle DC. Anyway, what could an upgraded exhaust system do to the car?

dodn't let his kickbacks alter your decision making.
Get what you want. No warranty issues with any exhaust, headers or any other bolt on.

I just had a local shop cut out the "suitcase" R/T muffler and put in dual flowmaster 40's keeping the stock res and tips. I miss the rumble that my dual SXT with just flowmasters had, but this does sound VERY nice..all for $260.00 installed

I have the Borla 112 (4 muffler system)

The dealer has done the following under warranty - and never mentioned the exhaust.
Replaced PCM
Replaced one catalytic converter and three oxygen sensors
They're currently replacing the torque converter, valve body & trans pump

Not to butt in... LOL, but HIPCHIP is right... as far as I understand it, nothing can really be voided unless the aftermarket part installed is the CAUSE of the failure. Otherwise, it must be covered... don't let them sell you what you don't want.
