Default Remote Start & Seatbelt Chime...

Was wondering if the remote start for these cars were just "plug & play" like something that Dodge has already built into them. Also, has anyone figured out a way to get rid of the seatbelt chime when you don't buckle up for situations when you are just moving the car?

There is a code in your manual to eliminate the annoying ding, ding, ding. It was the first thing I did.

It goes something like this, but verify in your manual:

Begin with seatbelt buckled. Insert key in ignition turn to "on".

When seatbelt indicator on dash turns off you have 30 seconds (no more) to unbuckle, then buckle it 10 times exactly. Make sure you watch the dash and see that the seatbelt indicator turns off each of the ten times you unbuckle it.

End with buckle locked in place.

Turn ignition off and you should hear a signal to let you know if you did it right.

Good luck!
