Default BORLA & K&N

JUST INSTALLED THE K&N TYPOON FILTER AND THE BORLA 140112.... MUST SAY THE EFFECT IS NOTICEABLE. WILL TAKE SOME TIME TO GET USED TO IT BUT THE HEMI DESERVES THE ATTENTION IT WILL NO DOUBT BE GETTING AS A RESULT..... WAS CONTEMPLATING GETTING A DYNO RATING B4 AND AFTER BUT BLEW IT OFF WHEN MY INSTALLER QUESTIONED THE $225 COST OF A 2-TIME TEST... THIS MAY END MY STRING OF UPGRADES. I'VE HAD THE CAR ABOUT 6 WEEKS AND I'M READY FOR MY 1ST 3000K OIL CHANGE - LOVE IT!!!!

Mark R 54,

How is the Cabin Noise? And how much quicker? Is it faster off the line, or just noticable after 2,500 RPM's?

Ok - Yesterday - Upgraded Intake And Exhaust But Now Concerned As Computer Readout Of Mpg Seems Off The Mark. Can Anybody Offer Advice As To Whether Or Not It Is Just A Matter Of Time That The System Needs To Readjust Or Is There A Computer Adjustment That Needs To Be Made At The Dealer. Also A Possibility- A Chip Adjustment?

Have you figured in the mileage loss from getting on the gas more? Theoretically, a freer-flowing exhaust will yield better mpg, but the Hemi with aftermarket exhaust just sounds so damn good that I find myself using the throttle prodigiously!

Yea I know about the theory but the first day out I actaully drove - slower. Getting used to the sound - keeping my significant other in the clouds..... The mpg dropped to single digits during idle and low (0-20 mph) acceleration. Criusing at 50-60mph it hit 20mpg but that is lower than the 24-26 mpg I was getting taking it slow b4 the upgrade....

I am almost certain you are not getting 30mpg under any condition let alone 45 unless perhaps you drive downhill one way in neutral and are teleported / air lifted home. I am definately glad you are happy with that setup, considering it myself.

lol - funny - but did it again 2-day...... let myself coast from 45 down to 40 - foot on accelerator just to maintain speed above 40 and i hit 30mpg again - granted it does not reflect on anything other than efficient air flow - but the improvement is there for those that want it....

I am talking about 30-45 mpg on a tank of gas using the old school pen and paper method, not the instant readout on the dash. I have managed stints of over 30mpg on the instant readout, but it is not true apples to apples with what we traditionally associate with miles per gallon.
