Agree with rest in saying, drive both. I have had my SXT for a month now and love it. 
More into the exterior looks than rubber buring speed. I would not recommend the 2.7 L, definately go with the 3.5 L. IMO car is a little heavy for the 2.7. But I have no complaints with performance of 3.5. Plenty of after market products out there for appearance too, and more are always being added.
