$2.449 is the word from Kalamazoo, Michigan. Was talking to my buddy who just came from there.

And as for Iraq, the gas here is actually only $.06 per liter or roughly $.15 per gallon. I know this because part of my unit's job is to bust people who illegally sell the stuff second hand in Sadr city.

What happens is the lines for gasoline become huge, we are talking 10 hour waits and people lined up overnight to get the cheap gas. Some people have made huge gas tanks to hold 50-75 gallons and then they sell the extra fuel at roadside stands to people who don't want to wait for a little over $1 a gallon, but without a license to do so it is illegal. All prices I listed here are of course converted since they use the Iraqi Dinar over here, the current rate is roughly $1 = 1460 Dinar.

$2.82 for 91 yesterday @ Costco. Chevron is $2.97, $3 is just around the corner, then who knows, I don't see it coming back down to the prices we paid when I was a kid.

$2.54 here in S.E. Arizona. That makes it tough when you have to drive 51 miles each way to the closest supermarket. Were talking boondocks.

2.35 for 87 Octane and 2.45 for 89 Octane here in San Antonio. Gone up .11 cents in the last 5-7 days.
