CD won't eject!
I've had my Magnum for three months and have had no problems playing CDs in it. Today I couldn't eject my CD.
Shut the car off a few times and no luck. It still plays fine but the thing won't come out. It's a Sony CD which I burned. I have played countless other CDs burned from the same spindle of blanks.
Anyone lese have this problem?
If I have to go to the dealer to get this fixed, is this going to be covered by warranty?

RE: CD won't eject!
Well, over the last few days, every time I got in the car I would hit the eject button. This morning the CD just popped out.
I put in a different burned CD (same brand) and had no problems ejecting it.
I'll check the thickness on the CD, maybe it's a QC issue on the disc's part.
Needless to say, that CD ain't goin' back in!
Thanks for the replies.

RE: CD won't eject!
I've had the exact same problem ... not just with one CD, but with about 3. I just had my stereo replaced because of it ... hopefully that'll take care of it.
I've got a inkling that the factory stereo doesn't like heavily-scratched cds.... which is what i have.
Knock it if you will, but my previous vehicle, a 1998 Chevy Blazer, the factory stereo would play ANY cd you put in it. It rocked.

RE: CD won't eject!
Actually what happened is...
You didn't own the copyrights to the music content on the CD.
CD players of the future will be able to read/detect illegally "Downloaded Music" and will confiscate the homemade CD(just as in your situation) only to be removed by the
dealerships and then reported to the authorities...[]
Just kidding.....Too much coffee I guess...
Glad it's o.k. now!

RE: CD won't eject!
My Magnum is going in Friday for the same problem.
The CD started acting up a few months ago, but happened only rarely. It has progressively gotten worse. Sometimes the CD won't eject, other times it won't play and still other times it cuts out altogether and the track count display goes blank mid song.
The service tech claimed that it was because I was using burned CDs, which are not as thick, but it happens with "legit" CDs as well.
I, too, have had mornings where out of the blue, the CD will pop out after days of it being stuck in the player.
LakeErieFish ... too funny
