Trans dipstick
You might check parts department. But from what I gather, they dont want anyone messing with the tranny. If you have any problems down the road and they find like a different oil or additive, they may refuse warranty.
According to the dealer, you MUST bring the car to them to check your transmission fluid. It requires a special instrument (costs about $1,000) to properly check the fluid level. It isn't just the fluid level itself, it also factors in fluid temperature, etc.
I am with you, I would rather do my own maintenance, but they have us on this issue.
If I knew this up front, I would NOT have bought the car.
The car is great but too damn complicated.....................

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like someone is shipping a load of BULL! Last I checked a straightened coat hanger cost much less than $1000. I just have to know where to make the "full" mark. Unless I see a leak there shouldn't be any reason to check the level anyway. I'll keep looking.
You might try Warshawsky's auto parts catalog, they used to sell an adjustable dipstick.
Maybe some custom car accessory place..............LoCar?
You just need a dipstick with a sliding adjustable collar, should not be too hard to make one.

I think the tranny tube for the dipstick is not blocked, that is why they have a twist off plug on the top of the tranny tube. They have to have some way of inserting their test machine don't they?

A $1000.00 bucks for the tool? That is a load of S$%t.
Go to the dealer and ask to order special tool number 9336. It cant be more than fourty bucks. THe problem is the level has to be set according to the temp
of the tranny, it involves looking at trans temp with a scan tool.

The dealer tool does not have a full and add mark, it has several marks and is adjusted by reading the trans temp at the time of filling. The dipstick is not to costly but you still have to know trans temp.
