BA Amplifier Bypass
I am planning on removing my stock 6 disc cd player for an aftermarket one(kenwood kvt-715dvd), and i need to know if it is necassary to bypass the BA amplifier or is there anyway i could just use it with the aftermarket cd/dvd player?

what I did was tap off of the cig lighter. They sell wire taps at radioshack. Or do like I did and just disconnect the lighter and plug the wires in there. Of course Dodge has to make anything complicated. See if you lighter works with the ignition off (smokers package). If not not a prob. If it does, go the rear fuse block and move the cig lighter fuse(#18 i think) to the ign position. The fuse has 3 slots. The middle one will have a fuse leg in it. DO NOT USE the left over plug from the stock radio. It is for the CANBUS and can create all kinds of trouble and noise. Hope this helps!

thanx so much that was the last piece of information i needed to start building my system. one mor question will it be safe to take it out without messing anything up in the dash or the computer? i will be running all new wires to the new speakers from the new amp hope this wont be a problem.
