Then you might be able to get away with ONE coil then. You could try one new one and see how it goes. Do both the plugs on that cylinder also. A cracked ceramic can cause the coil to do the same thing.

I actually did my first one of these based on 2 records of techs reporting it on Identifix database. Since then, there have been a ton more cases pop up. Glad there are people out there smarter than me...(:

I'm curious to know if you went with Dodge coils or aftermarket?

I would avoid aftermarket coils and any kind of sensor unless the manufacturer is the same as the OEM one. I have a box FULL of Dorman Throttle bodies, Bosch O2 sensors and Autozone cam/crank/tps/MAP sensors here that were also "Built To OEM Spec" that are complete garbage.

I'm assuming you did the plugs as well?

There are only so many options when you have intermittent issues that leave no trail. None of them are cheap.

Default Follow up question

My technician says the same thing. I had our local community college certified instructor suggest flashing the computer in case of a glitch. Do you think this is an option? I asked my technician and he said it should still be at factory settings. Thanks

I wish you luck, if you figure it out let me know. Like in earlier posts, I've been dealing with almost identical issues for 2 years. Next on the agenda is replacing all coil packs with new Dodge ones.

I looked around other forums, seems to be a lot of 2006 hemis that have had this issue. I saw a post recommending replacement of plugs, coils, and PCM. It seems the PCM is what the culprit was for most.
