Question for you Cops, is there any seriousness in the magnum taking the place of the crown vic? I know some areas have a two-three car program, but I think that is as far as it will go...

I am not sure that I would say that they will take the place of the Crown Vic, but I know they have been selected to submit a model for consideration along with Chevy and others. I know a local department who was previously using Mustangs are now going to the charger as their lead pursuit car.
Hope that helps, I will be sure to keep my ear to the wall for more.

Mythbusters and others have checked out all the jammers. There also a waste of money and any that do anything at all, is not worth the expense or effort for the little tiny advantage it might give you.
Let me give you a heads up on radar jammers/detectors(being a state trooper). All that S$%^ they sell you is garbage. I'm Mr. Valentine and i have arrows on my detector so i will charge you more. Not to bash but i use the on/off principle with my KA MPH radar unit. Basically i turn on the unit get your speed and lock it in. by that time your detectors go off and its too late. back in the days or on TV they show cops with there radar always on,,it doesn't happen anymore.I have stopped a crazy import driver who had two radar dectectors, a laser detector, and jammers..I locked him in at 111 and turned off my radar. He stepped on the brakes breifly and continued driving..i then rear paced him at 105 for a 1 mile and pulled him over..i told him to sell all his equipment to pay for the 875.00 ticket.. Just remember if i stop you i will laugh at your detector and give you a ticket. people who have detectors speed why else whould you have one..

Back to the subject of headlights. How would one make everything in the casing clear then? Look at the pic in my sig. How can I clear out the "orange" reflective thing on the side like shown below?

Without taking one apart, Im assuming the orange tint on the side marker is actually cast in that plastic piece. If it is the only way to remove it is to take out that piece and fabricate one out of clear plastic.
