Default Wipers on --- Lights on

I have a 05 RT and just found out on the other forum that these cars have the wipers on -- lights on feature that just has to be enabled by the dealer. I have an appointment Monday morn. to have it done and the dealer will also do the auto lights mod. Check out the following link.

Default Cool info!

Minnesota has the law for that and I have warned my wife about it.
Her Olds had DRL so she never thought about it.
I converted the Magnum to auto headlights and have myself found that I forget to turn the headlights on manually when rain or snow in daylight.
This is great news!!
Will have the dealer activate it next service.

Don't be surprised if your dealer doesn't know how to do it. The dealer I bought my car from didn't know and after calling two more dealers I found one that did.

Default Dealers

That's what I'm afraid of, she has a remote starter that they could not figure out how to turn off the horn chirp without calling Detriot. They said it cannot be turned off.

My dealer was successful enabling the "Wiper On, headlights On" function today. He did it for free, when the Magnum was taken in for it's 3000 mile oil change. I verified it does function (rained today here in "sunny" Florida).

However, he was not able to disable the damn audible chime that is for the seatbelt minder.

It tells you in the owners manual how to turn off the chime for the seatbelt. I did it the day that I got my dodge.

It was interesting that the dealer told my wife that they could not turn off the chime (they said they tried, but did not succeed).

However, the next time we tried it, it did not chime!

Thanks,

I tried to get my dealer to enable wipers on/lights on and they said that the option was unavailable...is this because the dealer isn't the brightest or does it require a specific version of firmware to enable it
