I'm in Canada and it gets plenty cold. I got my SXT Dec 2004 and had the dealer install the remote starter. It worked great all last winter but would not keep the car running in the summer. They thought it was the hood switch and changed it. Then it messed with the engine settings and wouldn't let the car shift our of 2nd so they changed the module. Since then it works like a charm. I too am gald I paid the dealer to do it so it is under the manufactureres warranty.

Magnum needs a module to "trick" the security system into thinking the key is in the ignition. I believe I got nicked $350 for the unit. Once fixed right, it has not-not worked.
