Default Pinstripes question

My RT Magnum came from the dealer with pinstripes down the sides (just below the fender line), but was not charged for them, etc. I had assumed that all the RT got these stripes, but have not seen them on other Magnums. They are very professionally applied.

Do all the RT's get these, or did the dealer do me a "favor"?

Magnum is Bright Silver, and the stripes are a darker grey.

Dealer aftermarket...............No Magnums or 300s have factory pinstriping. It can be removed if you want, but you have to do it rather quickly or even when its gone it will still leave a ghost in the paint. If done right and in the right place it probably looks good though.

Are they vinyl or painted stripes?

No, they are not standard on Magnum.

Thanks guys, I will post some pictures when it stops raining (probably Friday).

Pin stripes are vinyl, but done well, and I will leave them on.

If it came from the dealer, you paid for it, one way or another. The dealer does not give anything away for free.

Enjoy the car,

Bob,

I would not normally dispute that, but in this case, it is not fact. Magnum came from a 2nd (non-affilliated) dealer, since I was specific in what I wanted, and the 1st dealer did not have it.

The 2nd dealer had loaded up the car and price (separate pricing "sticker") with the typical nonsense - $1995 Enviromental Protection Package, which included "Paint Sealer", "Carpet Protection", "Fabric Protection", "Vinyl UV Protectant", "Leather Treatment", and a $1000 Theft Benefit". Not listed were the pin stripes, so that is where my question came in.

My dealer took that off the selling price immediately, since we had already arrived at a price before he or I even saw the vehicle (based on the options he was told I wanted, etc.). It was never even mentioned, and the ending price was more than fair! I have to assume that the 2nd dealer just ate it, and was happy to get what he did from my dealer.
