Default Superchips here and in...

Well I got the Super Chips tuner today for the hemi. I had a error and had to upload new data from the web, which was very easy. Was not able to put the 91 in yet or really drive it to the max but just putting around the block, I am very impressed. Think I got a little whip lash with that tranny stiff setting. I can’t wait to take her out.

Am not happy with mine, car ran great the first day, since then nothing but poor idle, and surging at low speeds.

Went back to stock settings.

Come on Superchips, fix the problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love my superchip as long as you driving it hard. But as mentioned when you are just trying to drive at low speeds it feels like it wants to stall and surge.

Thanks

I called Superchips today, they said that they will have an update by the end of the week that will take care of the upload "failure" that I received.

It was also mentioned that the computer changes depending on how the car is driven. With the new program the computer does not know how to handle it.

I noticed that on Friday when I first loaded the new program the car was very fast but surged a lot. Since then i have driven over 200 miles and it is not near as bad now and seems to be getting better.

I look forward to the update and will report back.

Thanks

I received the update and downloaded it into the FlashPaq. Now I have determined that I need to take the Hemi back to the dealer so a newer "stock" program can be downloaded in order for the FlashPaq will work. While this was going on one of the performance settings was still loaded in the Hemi and then started to miss according to the FlashPaq.

So i now have the stock program loaded till this weekend when i can get the car into the dealer.

One thing for sure though, driving the car with a poor running performance setting makes taking the car back to stock still seem very boring. Getting the new stock program so I can re-program with all performance gains will be sick.

Sucks to have to go through all of this but it will be more then worth it when it is done.

Thanks.

Stripped Hemi,
Don't be negative about the Super Chips... I only post Messages to let people know of problems... If everything is fine, I don't post, as I am out having fun in my RT! So, for everyone that has a Super Chip that you don't hear bad things from, it means their Version is correct and is working fine. A $75 trip to the dealer will get you the Computer Version you need... It is the Super Chip you will want. A friend of mine owns a shop in Orange and has experienced problems with the other Chips... Not with the Super Chip, once done right... Now I just want to hear someone say that they have programmed their RT to 'Bark' 2nd gear, and I am SOOOO there.... These are my only complaints about this car: Doesn't pull the front whells off the Ground and Doesn't break loose in 2nd, 3rd or 4th gears while going down the highway... Benchmarks for DC to shoot for! Whoo Hooo!!!

Note: I have gotten my bone stock RT to 'Bark' 2nd gear... But just once... Christmas morning... A gift from my RT! But I don't want to wait until next Christmas to do it again!

Im not really badmouthing them. This is the only one Im considering. Ive had no problems in 2 years and dont want to get one and start having them. I will at some point soon order one. Ive gotten 2nd gear chirps in my RT too, and its easy with the ' fuse 17 pull '. It should work right out of the box, not have to have anything else reloaded after the fact. Even if its free and easy. I would be the one to start yelling and stomping everywhere if it wasnt 100% so Im just holding off...just for now.
