Well i guess it pays to know someone. My friend (new car sales manager) dropped a dime on me monday and we bought his first RT version through the dealership.

to sweaten the deal, i got it with a suppliers discount of 1% under invoice! and a coupon book for 36K worth of oil changes and tire rotations.

we Love it, they draw a crowd wherever you go, that's for sure. I should just get in the habit of popping the hood everytime i park it.

 

Got mine a week ago. Love it. There is an article in Hemmings Muscle Machines mag for September on it. They love it too.

I got mine on July 18th, it is Magnesium Pearl.

Is that the Charcoal color I voted for?


Have never seen a blue one yet.

I wanted Red but wife said no way.

July 27th., Midnight Blue Pearlcoat and loaded.

I had to drive two hours up to Petaluma, that dealer had to make a dealer trade to get the right car. I used dodge.com and the ask for a quote feature to find the dealer who would do the job.

This car replaced my wife's '97 Mercedes E320 and she is real happy with the RT and so am I. I have a '98 C5 roadster Vette and a '69 red roadster Vette to keep the Magnum company.

What a car this is

 

HI I got mine July 23rd Cool Vanilla RT . Bought it off the lot for well under 28k. I drove it from St.louis,MO to Nashville ,Tn . It rode great all for the pull to the right and a steering wheel shake at 80 mile per hour.Took it back to dealer and they adjusted front end and now handles great. I did put vent shades on and notice they cause some wind noise but it is worth it. I also got the rear bumper scratch pad and bra for front. So far I am impressed. The only thing I m not impressed with is the lack of dead stop take off and too quick to shift right when power seams to be kicking in. I am still getting used to it . I did go to a custom car show with about 300 custom cars and it seemed that alot of those guys wanted to see my car. I hope there will be some good after market stuff coming out soon. I have been building street rods for 30 years and still have abuilt Nova and a 82 z28 street machine . But as I get older I wanted more Comfort . So we will see if this car fits the bill for the long haul.

 

Keep after it. Mine has picked up the power after just a few days. Perhaps a learning period for the computer or even something built in for the break in period. Either way, it is moving out just fine now.
