Brake Shake on New 06 R/T
Started to drive home in my 06 R/T and noticed the brakes shake at higher speeds.
I went back to the dealer and after turning the rorors ( on a new car) the problem still existed.
One week later I went to pick up a replacement R/T and that one was worse.
They've ordered 4 new rotors and pads. Hope that fixes the problem.
Is this a known problem. They were only aware of a recall for brake noise at the end of a stop.
2 different cars from 2 different states trailered in with the same problem?
Maybe that's the problem. The guy towing them in.

I bought a Magnum SXT last Wednesday and I am having this exact problem. It is driving me insane. I love everything else about the car, but right now this problem is not letting me enjoy it like I should. I have an appointment Tuesday with the dealership and I am expecting the run around in which they tell me they now have to order parts, then make a separate appointment. For those who have had this problem, did new rotors fix the problem? If not, did the dealership replace the car, or did they try to fix it a bunch of times? I don't want it to drag on for weeks. I am not happy.
Same prob, same car, same miles. I was told the warranty on the pads/rotors goes out at 12k miles and the cost was mine to fix. Good ole Dodge stickin it to ya on an obviously known problem. I bought after market drilled/slotted rotors and ceramic pads but I have not installed them yet.

This is common on almost all cars. I've bought a new car every year for the past 6 years all from different dealers and makes and ALL of them have done it. I started asking around and was amazed to find out how common this was. I've since learned how to quickly take off my rotors and have them turned cheaply every 15,000 miles.
Just an update. My dealer was very good about fixing this problem. They replaced both front and back rotors and the shake is gone. It is a good thing I made a stink about it after only one week. I don't know if they would have been as helpful if I had brought it back a month from now. Love the car again and now my only worry is the Continental tires that everyone seems to hate (though I haven't had a problem with them-------yet).
12K on my 06 Magnum, no shaking at breaking. Do have an issue with the ESP/BAC light coming on after sitting for a long period of time. Has done it three times in eight months.
