Default Need Magnum with Blower 1/4 Mile Times

Has anyone with a Blower / Super Charger and other Mods taken their car to the Track and ran the 1/4 Mile?

If so, please post your times and your Mods. Thinking of taking the next step, but would like some feedback first...

Thanks.

Has anyone installed a Paxton Super Charger in their Magnum? This is the unit used by GS Motor Sports... I am just looking for some actual feedback by users and daily drivers before I make a decision. Any feedback would help. If you don't have any 1/4 mile times, which cars have beaten you with the Blower? That information would be helpful...

Hey I saw your post but didnt think it pertinent to post, but to save you a little trouble, I have heard of no one in this forum having had the supercharger yet. You can check lxforums, they may have, I havent been over there in awhile. Maybe I will check for you tomorrow.

This probably won't help you much but for the sake of conversation ...The only one I've ever seen is the woman on the magnum episode on Overhaulin'. She posted on the forum a couple of times right after the show aired but thats about it.

She goes by the member name of "loopfantastic". You might be able to send her an email. Click on her member name and then click on the send email link. Here's a link to her postings.

I don't know if you saw the episode but the guys on Overhaulin' loved the supercharger addition.

ya I certainly did c that episode, and there was some trick **** done. those handles are over $700 a pair, so that is about 1700 for the 5 doors!!!
Anyways was on another forum and they have alot of posts on the GSM setup as well as a Hennessey set up. It is mostly a bunch of guys bitching that one is better than the other with no really conclusive evidence one way or the other. Those that have GSM say its better except for the odd one, ditto for Hennessey. Hennesssy is really expensive but is based in texas, and GSM is based in Cali I think, so if you are close to one I would suggest going to the horse and getting info. If not, it looks like a crap shoot, but u will have over 400 hp!

Wow,
Thanks for the feedback. I figured I would get a bit more response, seeing as I saw several Magnums and 300's at the Huntington Beach Meet and Greet last year with Super Chargers on them. This was back when the SRT-8's were first introduced... I saw a guy with a 300 SRT-8 with Engine Build #3. Cool! I also saw about (3) SRT-8's with Super Chargers on them. All the guys just had their hoods up in the Parking Lot and were inside out of the heat at the House of Brews, so I didn't get a chance to chat with them about their Mods. But a 6.1 Liter with a Super Charger must be awesome!

And I do recall reading at least (1) Thread that had a guy put a Super Charger on his Magnum. He said he was afraid to punch it... But he had it at half thottle and said that it had way more power that at Full Thottle with the stock set-up. Though, I must admit, with a Super Charger on my Magnum, I would be in it having too much fun, not here reading about it...

Oh yeah... Just for the record... Smoked another $67,000+ Mercedes last night. His Girl Friend was laughing at him... These guys must be pissed getting beat by a Station Wagon! Especially when they could have bought (2) Magnums for the price of his 'Nice' Car. (Magnum is better in my Opinion...)

I have had a S/C 05 Magnum for some time, never got it to run right, most of the times I know of are in the 13's with at least one Calif guy going into the 12's. Problem is mine is the only one I know of that hasen't blown up ------yet. Many problems - no real sucess stories.

keep your foot in it longer and it should blow. they have a real short wick under boost. the stock pistons just aren't up to it.
