I understand the issue of your wife possibly getting stranded in the car. I wouldn't my wife stranded neither. I was going to suggest maybe having another Dodge dealer in your area check the car. Sometimes you can get tech's less knowlegable then others.
You said after replacing your battery the first time, the car died on you in NY. I would worry the problem is not fixed. I agree about the issue of the OEM products being installed by the dealer chould be covered under warranty. My dealership told me some mod's done by the dealership require you to sign a form explaining the mod may not be covered under warranty. An example is the SuperTuner, I went to see what they would charge and they told me I would have to sign one of those papers. So I didn't buy it, at least not there.
I hope you get it all worked out.

The wife had said she is not going to drive the car at all. In a way i am glad about that but it causes issues at time when i need her to do some thing and i have the other car. the one thing is i have taken it toother dealers and they to cant find the issue. I amreally hoping the insolation that i had over the battery was the proble.

Has the battery indicator turned on prior to the car dying?

Were any of your electrical accessories turned installed just prior to when your problems started?

It seems something is staying on.

I'm not familiar with your set up but check if the amplifier for your subwoofer is staying on after you turn off your car.

Hi Map, I have installed the factory sub, made by Kicker I have done nothing in the way of adding after market electrical items. When this first happened the battery went died . Then after installing a new one. I had gone 4 months with out anissue. So about a month ago i installed a Factory nav and sub all installed at the dealer. Every thing was tested by them. In doing it this way i knew if there was a problem they had a history on what they have done. Now after installing said items i went on a trip south car ran fine . On the way back about 200 milesaway from home the lights started to flicker. We made it home and right at the front door the car died. The dealer put in a new battery. They could not find any thing. Two weeks later i drove up to NY and was in a turn and the car shut down . I started the car right up and drove on. I made to the location and car died there. Well i had to make several stops so i left thecar and when i was done with every thing i had the car boosted and let it run for about 20 minutes. I turned the car off and then it started again and has done so ever sense. I have taken it to the dealer and they could not find any thing. The one thing they dd see was that the car has parasitic draw or some thing like that -That is very high. there is a curtain amount of draw on all cars but the number here was 741 and it should be 31 or lower. i was told to drive the car and when it happens again let it sit and they will have some thing to go on from there. I am real careful when i drive this car as i never now when its going to turn off on me.

Hello Silver bullit,
That's pretty strange. That's enough current draw to be a problem but it certainly isn't a short.

There's 2 things going on from what I can tell.

1) Something is drawing current when the car is off, meaning something is intemittently staying on for some reason or other.

2) Your charging system is intermittently not working when the car is running. If there was nothing wrong with the charging system, the car wouldn't die on you when it's running. It's dying because the system isn't charging and the battery is getting drained to the point that it dies.

Have all the cables going to the battery and grounds been checked by the dealer? I wonder if there's a loose connection somewhere.
Check the connections to the alternator. Easier said than done on these things...

(I've been used to driving a Jeep Cherokee for several years... I can change the oil without having to lift that car. That is impossible on this vehicle... It seems to like rubbing the driveway too. It seems to be a combination of it being low, long and driveway being too steep. )

Mr Map, I am at a loss with this . They said they have checked all those things. I will check them myself once it stop raining here in Pa. As far as the car sitting low you most have lowered yours .???? My car sits high that nothing touchs on the bottom no matter the anfle of the drive way. Also it seems to me that the AWD sits a bit higher.

I would really have an audio shop take apart the sub and the nav install. The dealer, which I have seen many times could have wired the amp or nav switched lead to a 12 volt battery lead. which means it's draining power all the time. One other thing is how well the did their job. It's not un-common for the bone heads to half *** wrap up the wires and some wire is unwrapped and when you hit the right bump it's shorts out and the car dies. If the Magnum was running fine before they installed the setup, then they did something wrong. Also the Can Bus wires, when I installed my stereo setup, which really was the very first after market setup in a magnum, I wired the can bus wrong and the Magnum ran then turned off and wouldn't restart until I fixed what I did.

The amp and sub are one unit from Dodge, There is only three wires to hook up.
