same thing happend to 2006 R/T AWD at around 6K miles. The good news is the replacement part has held up without leaking a drop for over 30K miles.

I had the same problem. When I took it in the Service Guy knew exactly what it was and had the part in stock.

Seems to be a very common problem, but no recall.

I wonder why ?

Justtypical MOPAR poor quality. I am starting to regret buying my RT. Ialready had the tranny leak which required the o ring replacement, the backseat passenger door rubber is falling off, ashtray had to be replaced as it wouldnt stay closed, endless rattles in the car, tires need replaced ...i bought the thing w/11700 on it it now has 13200. The retard at the stealership asked "what do you expect from a 3 year old car?" The car was titled in Dec 2006, so in 15 months already been to the shop 2 times. I knew I'd regret it, but not this soon after buying it on Feb 16 of this year. Just like my Ram....poor build quality. I really thought that since the car was designed by the German side of the company that it would be rock solid. Boy was I wrong. Should have bought the FX 35 instead.

How sad. Chrysler should have gone out of business in the 70's
