Problem with Boston Acoustics System?
I just picked up my car yesterday and have noticed a problem. Haven't had a chance to talk to the dealer yet.
Even though I don't see it in the manual, the volume does increase with speed right? Or is my car 'wierd'
Anyway, the problem I have is with the front left speaker in the dash. It doesn't go up in volume. Only the right one does, so the balance goes off when your doing 60 down the road. At a stand still the volume is the same as the right, but the sound is almost 'muffled'..
Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem?
Other than that, damn I love this thing!!!

All the more reason to toss the factory sound system in the trash and go aftermarket. I had a chance to check out the boston setup and it's better then stock, but no where in the ballpark of a good aftermarket setup. Redhouse
Just picked up my black mag r/t yesterday and just noticed the same problem this morning. I also have the Boston package with the same damn problem. If there is more than 3 of us experiencing the same problem, than that leaves out the speakers. Mine also does it on the left side also. My guess it the wiring or the amp, because i havent heard anyone compain about it without the Boston package, which would then leave out the stereo. Just my 2 cents though. When i get back to Houston i will have a dealer look at it. Keep me posted as to what you alls dealers tell ya. Oh, i did notice that if you are driving and experience the problem, try turning off the radio for a while, and it might work. It worked for me a couple of times. Later Mike

they flashed the bios in my radio, and replaced both speakers, and it seems to have fixed it...
will keep listening for it though. I would think it would be the stereo. Amps just amplify. it would be the radio that controls the volume increasing with speed.... Maybe the bios flash is what did it.
Personally I LOVE the boston acoustic system. I did not know that 6x9's could sound as good. However, they do sound a bit 'muddied'.. if that makes sense. But, that doesn't mean I'm not going to add my 15" subwoofer to it... I'd replace the factory radio, if I could find an aftermarket one that would fit the hole nicely (without having large black blank spaces around a single din unit). I love the 6-disc mp3 capability.
Will a double din unit fit in this? or is it an odd size like chevy uses in it's trucks?
