sirius satellite radio?
Anyone get it with thier magnum?
I have XM and love it, but can't really find a place to mount the receiver where it won't be butt ugly. Wondering if anyone has the add-on sirius system mopar.com offers, and if so, what's it look like, where's it mount, etc..

I believe that the bulk of the factory radios are Sirius-ready (meaning that once a behind dash receiver box and the antenna are installed, you control them from your factory radio). No ugly outboard components. Check with a dealer to be sure...

It looks just like that.
I have it and it would appear that the antenna is in the same 'black dome' on top of my R/T that houses the GPS antenna. The service is integrated into the stereo/6 disc changer/MP3 player/GPS unit.I'm sure your dealer can install the factory components.

I had XM for the last year in my '01 Ram. Now that I have a Magnum with the radio shown in the above message, it came with the Sirus. I do like it.... Like Dave, I was hooked on the radio being beamed from outer space. The black bump on the roof of the car isn't too bad. As far as I know, the Sirus can be installed with any one of the three radios that can come on the Magnum, at least it looks that way if you go to the Dodge website and "build" a car.

We weren't looking for it, but it was on the car we chose for my wife, and I love it so much now, I just added it to my 350Z. Sirius and U-connect, 2 things we didnt' want but are very happy we got.
I have Sirius built into my 2004 Jeep Liberty Limited and love it! I use an XM Roady plug & play unit and an Audiovox PNP2 Sirius unit in my other vehicles and I gotta admit the built in Sirius in the Jeep is really a nice look! Check out the following forum link & the actual Sirius site for more info on Sirius:

Satellite radio is like a DVR (Tivo, UltimateTV etc.). Anyone who tries it, loves it. Many people don't understand how great these products are. You also don't realize how many commercials there are on AM/FM until you start using satellite radio.
I'm thinking (will be ordering a loaded RT in a few weeks) of paying the cost of the Sirius radio just in order to get the factory installed antenna which I will then feed into an aftermarket high end system I plan on installing... Has anyone done the same? That is - used the factory Sirius antenna with an aftermarket head unit/sirius radio?
I have a factory installed Sirius radio....and antenna...however, I have had
a concern. Is there an issue with the buffer in the factory radios and/or
is the gain on the factory antenna the best that can be had with that type
of antenna?
The reason I ask.....my XM unit I had in a previous vehicle had far less
signal loss than I have with the Sirius.
