What car or truck for that matter, do you think will be the natural enemy of the magnum? In my experience since delivery friday, Impalas have tried to test me. They quickly fall, but I think i am going to have to deal with them often. I have read a few stories of people getting into it with mustangs, maybe they will be on our tails!! I also think Devilles, and Marauders are going to want to play!!

 

It's funny you mention Impalas....when we were in Las Vegas on the 18th, while at the
south end of Las Vegas Blvd doing about 40, I noticed in my rear view mirror, a black
Impala coming up on me at over a hundred. Since he barely clipped my rear bumper,
I chose to mind my own business. Good thing, about 10 unmarked police vehicles
went by my as well. I was thinking it was Christmas time with all of the lights.

So, yes, that Impala came close to being an "enemy".

 

yesterday an impala (kinda) tried to test me too! he came in real hot and passed me. then when i got up next to him he didnt want to see what the mag was made of. he just drove normal. i dont know...maybe he got scared...also, an infiniti fx45 swooped on me right when i had to change freeways. i have yet to get into it with anyone yet. i'm really curious of how we compare to other cars.

 

marauders only have a 4.6, and it's not very peppy. Impala SS has the 5.7 with a little tweaking...I was able to keep up with one this morning in my current ride, Altima 3.5 SE. Hopefully I'll be trading in this little skateboard when the Magnum gets here....hopefully end of Sept.

 

From what I have been seeing and reading on this and other forums, I think the most natural enemy will end up being the Chevy Malibu and the Crown Vic with the Police Interceptor Packages, (until the cops get the Magnum with a cop pack: see Magnum / Enforcer Cop Cars )

You may be right. I will be at the Michigan State Police's annual testing of all of the new patrol vehicles in a few weeks and will be able to put the police package Magnum (if it is there) through its paces personally. I'll post my experiences and hopefully a few photos when I return.

[&o]As I understand it, Calif. has order some Magnums for testing. Watch our mirror for black with white tops. OR they may get the white ones like they have for the "truckers" camaros.

I was told that the CHP will be getting Dodge sedans next year. He had the understanding that
they would have V8s

 

I asked my Chief yesterday about the chances of getting the Dodge....he said we were sticking with the Crown Vics for at least another year......[:@][:'(]

 

Want to race someone ? Try a new STS or better yet a CTSv! If you want something like your car, try a 2wd Northstar SRX, 320 h.p. 3850LBS, should be a good race.
