you are probally better off going to the junk yard and getting a mtx that was rear-ended, or totaled or somethin like that. I don't believe they make a conversion kit. I have seen on ebay people that put together all the stuff you need to convert and sell it.

under a $1000 and you can turn around and sell the atx when your done. my buddy did it on his 626, took a lot of work but wasn't that expensive.

Acording to mechanics ive talked to converting a auto tranny to a manual is a son of a bitch to do, but still manuals kick ***.

are you planning on going turbo? If so you might want to stay auto. You loose boost presure when you shift manually.

You sure about that?

<----Is an ATX and has no problem helping out other ATXers.

<---- Also has a race built ATX, If you want pointers, lemme know. There's a misconception about MTX's I could clear up. Neither ATX or MTX are better than the other, but they do have their advantages over the other and flaws.

I'd be interested in learning more about your setup, we have been back and forth about swaping to mtx in project neon. but seen as the problems that we were having seem to have disapeared with a filter and fluid change, I am kinda lean toward sticking with the auto. Plus we plan on going turbo so auto is a much better choice.

On other note swaping from atx to mtx in a neon is hella easy. With knowlegeable people and the proper tools and all parts on hand it can be done in about 4 hrs. (Unless you plan on drinking then add about 2 days ).
