Default ENGINE NOISE . PLEASE HELP OR ADVISE

I HAVE A 2000 DODGE NEON SOHC WITH A MAGNUM PORTED HEAD WITH A CRANE CAM (NITROUS PROFILE). EVER SINCE I PUT THIS HEAD ON MY CAR I HAVE A LOUD VALVE TYPE NOISE WHEN REVING ENGINE. ALMOST SOUNDS LIKE VALVES ARE FLOATING.

PLEASE ADVISE ?? ANYBODY GIVE SOME SUGGESTIONS

THANKS

Throwing any codes?

It could either be bad rockers or a floated lifter. And since it's pretty loud at idle and RPMs I'd say it's probably floated but it could also be bad timing as well. It's tough to say which is why I asked if it was throwing any codes.

I would check the lifters and the rockers, its not a good thing either way, I wouldn't drive any more than you absolutlly need to till its fixed.

No, that isn't possible.

I'm almost guessing it's your rockers. I'd have them replaced.

Not likely, they can only go in one way in my experience.

I'm telling you it's a lifter or your rockers. It'll still run good and strong but be wary, when it finally breaks, it's going to do a lot of damage. I'd have it repaired.

A lot of neon have a tick when they are cold and you can hear it slightly when they are warm. Its just the motor.
