Default Back Seat Removal

Does anyone here know how to take it out. I'm thinking I might get a little more serious when I go to the track this time and take it out before I get there. I haven't really looked at it yet, just wondering if anyone knew how to take it out.

Well the bottom part of the seat, just pull it up, comes right out. Be careful when putting back in. There are to rubber things that the bracket from the seat that it goes in, get at the wrong angle and you puch the rubber pieces through, and basically it is a hole to the outside. Experienced that one. The back part, I am trying to remember what I read somewhere, but I beleive you take out he bolts that hold the seatbelts in and alsol hold the back part of seat in.

Yep, the bottom part just pops out basically like you said. Did that in about 2 minutes. The folding down part, I think you can unbolt it from the back without taking the seat belts out. I'm willing ot bet those seat belts would be a bitch to get out. I don't want to take them out anyways. I was just trying to lighten the car for the track. But I don't think I'm going today anymore, its around 83ish which is too hot for me, so its too hot for my car. Last time I went when it was around 80, I ran crappy times. I'll wait for some october weather, when its nice and cool.

in teh FIRST gen it is held on by torx bolts..i think t55 or something like that(those are also the seatbelts) but i used a crowbar to un hinge the clips that hold the top off...so it really didnt come out all the way but i could pull it off a little..but im guess you just want teh whole ****ing thinkg outta there..but i dunno about the second gens.

Ok, ok we've had this discussion before. Th ebottom of the seat just pulls up yes. But on my 1999 my backseat is not held in by T55 torx bits. But my seatbelts are so i can remove the back of the seat by just pulling up on it and sliding it out from behind the seatbelts. Don't ask me why but that my car. It came that way.

but I think normally yes, you do have to remove the Torx Bits.

Yes, the seat belts are held down by torx bits on 2nd gens too. Mine is at least. I may have to try that Crazy, I dont' want to take the seat belts out, I just want to shed some weight before I run it at the track.

I don't guarantee it'll work on your car but mine it does.
