RE: Mileage
if it matters....i have a 95 neon i average around 32 with the A/C...but they probally changed the engines since then....i did notice a problem once though.....the gas tank has a little cap hose with a spring clip on it, and it was leakin'....but that's probally changed on the new models also.
i will definetly run out of gas at 340 miles.
wish i could help more

RE: Mileage
Hey,
How many miles do you have on your car???
If it's still under 10k, the engine is not fully broken in yet.
I had the same problem untill I broke 10k, now I average 26-30 arund town, and FAR better on the Hhighway.
I drove from Philly to Nags Head NC., 383 miles one one tank of gas. 37mpg. (on semi synthetic oil)
HELL YA!!!!!
I even have broke 40mpg on the highway once....
Give it tie to brake in, or, go back to the dealer and SCREAM untill you get what you want!!!

RE: Mileage
It's got almost 20,000 miles on it right now. One thing I have noticed though, which might not mean anything, is that whenever I have the air conditioning set to either the Floor/Defrost or just the Defrost option it kicks my idle RPM from 500 to about 850. Maybe whenever I leave the defrost on it's killing my gas mileage. Weird thing though too. I let it get reallly low on gas again and I put about 8 gallons in and it filled my tank up? Maybe I just have a really small tank.
