Default My plan....

Oh, this is awesome.....pure insanity. Can't wait to do it.

Get the turbo on the car this spring. I'm only missing the intercooler, wastegate, O2 housing, fuel injectors and fuel pump. I also need a torque converter.

By the end of the spring drop 275+ to the wheels with the turbo.

Then, by the end of the summer install a nitros kit and drop another 100 to the wheels possibly giving me 375 hp to the wheels.

Of course, the nitros kit would only be a 50 shot cause I don't need anything too big but just enough to give me a little more.

This is however still just an idea. And if it does fly I will definitely need to look into putting my FE-36 fire extinguisher on a remote system so that I can puch a button and discharge it into the engine bay and cabon of the car. But, since I work for the worlds largest fire/security company I'm sure I can get someone in the office to design a suppresion system for a Neon.

However I have to go elsewhere to get the remote system since we do not carryanything like that for cars. The remote systems for vehicles we carry cost around 1 mil+ because they are used in construction vehicles. But I can get the switch and solenoid fairly cheap at a place called 3R Racing here in Denver.

This is gonna be cool.

A little information on FE-36 Clean Agent.

FE-36™ has comparable performance and efficiency to Halon 1211, lower toxicity, as well as zero ozone depletion potential. In a portable fire extinguisher, FE-36™ is discharged as a stream of gas and liquid droplets that penetrate into the fire area, ceasing the combustion process through heat absorption and a chemical interaction. FE-36™ is also a replacement for Halon 1301 in local application systems, such as modular systems.

FE-36™ is:
safe for people
a clean agent that does not leave a residue
electrically nonconductive, noncorrosive and no thermal shock
an environmentally preferred alternative to Halon with zero ozone depletion potential (ODP)

FE-36 unlike ABC Dry Chemical will not destroy my engine bay, or the interior of the car.

Thats cool...real cool. Keep me posted on your progress with pics, etc. I've currently got the same thing going with mine.

Awww...look at that. Perfect size for all those nice vents in my bumper.

Also, check Summit Racings fire systems. They are universal in design and I have one in my Neon.

Whats included in their fire systems? Nevermind. I looked at them.

Few things on Halon. It's against the law. Once its discharged you can not get it recharged.

If you've got a Halon system in the cab of the car I would not suggest being in the cab when it discharges.

Halon in escence creates a vacuum and removes all oxygen fromt he air which will put out a fire. It will also cause you to stop breathing.

I can get teh stuff to remote discharge my FE36 extinguisher without buying a Halon kit.

squee, u shouldn't need to replace your stock injectors, or ur fuel pump, it should be capable of mixing in plenty of go-go juice to satisfy the turbo and nitrous, it's your car, just trying to save you a couple hundred bucks, you might try it without changing first to see how it work for you.

Yeah, I know. But I am going to run more than 5 pounds of boost. So, I do have to change the injectors out to 24#s and I ahve to change the fuel pump out to either the Walbro 255 fuel pump or the one that Aeromotive makes which is a lot bigger than the Walbro.

stock rate is what 20# i think i heard someone say, i've also heard that stock injection sytem can handle about 12 pounds of boost, I've never seen any proof, just heard rumors. You would know more than I would though

Stock injectors are 19.

Oh yeah, I also have a high-flow fuel rail that increases the pressure and stuff so thats another reason why I need 24#.

But you are right, I don't necessarily have to change them I'm more of planning ahead for more boost. Because eventualyl I'll do a bottom end and top end rebuild.
