wait, so its only the domestic cars that they like?? basically a magazine of cavaliers and sunfires with a couple SRT4s as a marketing scheme to suck in some dodge people...

Wow BadstratRT, you really don't like the chevy's much do you? LOL. Seriously though while I'm a pure Mopar man I am open-minded enough to appreciate (but still not like) the significant cars from other manufacturers. The early Beretta was, in theory, pretty impressive. The early models (that '89 being one I assume) used a normally aspirated 180hp four, what else had that in '89? Or '99 for that matter? This, of course, was the "quad-4" and as most know wasn't the most reliable engine ever but if you could find one that still runs it'd probably give the ol R/T a pretty good run. Yes it's a chevy, yes they had a habit of blowing up, but it is a significant car in the evolution of domestic performance FWD's and you can't knock chevy for tryin', especially way back then.

BTW, While the Z36 was the commonly seen "fast" Beretta, the GTZ was the top 'o the line.

no..what i dont like is when someone pushing a crappy product for FREE comes on here...they ask for members photos, and youre told that your car isnt tuner enough or whatever...a beretta isnt a sports car...my roommate had a Z26 and it was a POS...i dont think that they had a 180hp anything...while the wad4 was reasonably quick it doesnt matter...he comes here peddling his crapass magazine...would he have said "i need pictures of SRT4s" thats one thing...but he didnt...which didnt bother me all that much until i saw that their joke of a magazine is full of 89 cavaliers and berettas...

a beretta isnt a sports car
true. unless you do the uber easy 3.8 swap same with the cavvys. well, maybe not "uber" easy.. but its not all that difficult from what ive read.
heck even the 3.4 dohc V6 swap would be fun

Badstrat, I just thought I'd let you know I'm on you're side on the exclusion of the stratus and the overall crappiness of the mag. I just thought you were a little harsh on the poor beretta.

...i dont think that they had a 180hp anything...while the wad4 was reasonably quick it doesnt matter
just for the record I looked it up, the '90-'92 Quad4 GTZ was indeed rated for 180hp. Significantly more than any 6cyl Beretta.

Well I think a domestic tuner mag should carry all types of 4 and 6 banger cars wether being 4 door or not b/c you could touch base with all the readers and give em reason to respect more peoples rides. I used to hate on KIAs until i actually saw some an incredibly tuned spectra w/ turbo and nos pushing 400 hps.... I gave it respect b/c thats impressive numbers from a korean POS company that is obviously getting better about creating a tuner base market for em...
