raybestos, makes a damn fine ceramic pad for the neons.....they grab real good....and last for being ceramic......just remember if your are going for performance and quality pay the money if you are going for economy and life of your pads go with a harder type of pad.

The only problem with cheapos is they leave that brake crap on the rims. I have heard ceramics are the way to go for that. true?

when i was a tech, i always told customers that ceramics were the way to go to reduce brake dust, but i made comission, so if i had to tell them that the brake pads would make them go to heaven, i would have. (difference between a 50 and 150 dollar brake job) however, i actually believed that ceramics made less dust, and had better stopping distance/less noise, but my dad put ceramics on the motor home, and it squeaks...and ive heard people say that ceramics DID make mroe dust...so i dont know honestly..i know what is supposed to happen...but i put like 19 dollars pads on my RT..and i dont have any issue with brake dust...i think that it has alot to do with the driver too...have you noticed that women driving SUVs or minivans, sitting in traffic on their cell phone almost always have brake dust?? hmm...

hey now,

actually when I first got the car, there wasn't as much dust. But lately it has more. Not sure if that is because as they get lower they put wear out faster. Who know, but irratating when it comes time to wash teh car, and that when it looks clean, even after a week, the only noticeable part are tghe dirty rims. [:@]

you could buy those dust shields...lol unless you have a very open rim...i do know they transfer heat better...i dont know what your wheels look like techman...my RT wheels are pretty smooth, so even when i do have dust on my rims, they will wipe off so long as i dont let it go for weeks..but i never do...does the dust stick to yours badly?

I have the stock rims. The dust stick too badley usually, But hard to get into where the bolts are and if you notice the little opening at the end of the "spoke". And I don't know about them dust guards. They look wierd in my opinion.

i was kidding...my dad put them on the bimmer, and since the bimmer wheels are like 50 spoke aluminum, you can barely see the dust shield....and he painted them...so its not so bad

Don't know if you guys watch a lot of the road track racing but some of the fancy race cars use carbon fiber break pads, holy crap do they make dust, clear down the side of the cars lol.
