Definately not the radio or speakers going out...its only fm/am and the popping crackling that i get through the speakers gets louder as i accelerate as well...also if i turn the key to the on position but do not actually start it i DONT get the crackling sound only when i start the engine...i was told it was engine noise causing it but i didnt know which part of the engine was causing it(if this is true n e way)...

 

well, then, maybe it is the alternator, I atually had a car with a Fuel Pump causing the FM radio to static.

There are few things that can cause Radio Static in the car, most common are Sparks related. Coil Pack, Spark plug wires, etc.. they operate at 8,000 volts. as you've heard, high voltage can disturb radio frequency. it is really hard to tell without looking at the car in person...

 

Greatly appreciated awesome information and thanks again for taking the time to answer my questions...i have a few acquaintances that are mechanics but seems most of the time my guess is usually correct and they are always amazed sometimes get a little upset about that...but i sure dont know everything about my car and it is a pain trying to look up answers on the internet without actually asking your own...i have more questions but you have already been awesome help and i dont wanna bug so hopefully next time its you again!!!
