I need some info about an SRT-4 engine swap...
Okay. So there is a stealth 2.4L dohc neon running around that I don't know of? Or are they making things up. Either way, I don't care. If you want to spend 3000 on the head alone, by all means do so. It would be far cheaper for you to just buy the entire car if you're going to pay 3000 dollars just for the head.
And BTW tflea....what SOHC neon is putting out 500 or more whp? I've yet to see a single sohc neon that is putting down that kind of power. I've seen a few that have put down around 400whp. One is roach (I think is his name) on neons.org, and there is another guy that I saw with 400 some power. I call BS on most the stuff you said.

hey man if you go to ebay motors and go to complete motors and lookup neon there is this co that's says the will build you a turbo ready dohc for like $2,250.00 i,m sure if you put a t3/t4 setup on that and end spending about $5000.00 or so for everything and be at 300hp you never know what you can get out of a custom built egine but its worth a shot
well I dont have a sohc my model is an r/t w/ sohc hood and 500 hp???? there are several neons cranking that much hp out like the hahn neon that hit 600 hp just with bolt on turbo and forged pistons and connecting rods and aftermark cams intake yada yada... either way it doesnt mater b/c traction becomes on issue wether you have 400 whp or 600 you are running close to the same 1/4 mile times. Unless you have some serious traction. And a very good slipping clutch. But what would you expect for a 2300 lb car?
BTW heres the phone number if you dont believe me ask for a MR castell In parts.(765) 447-3191 He is my friends DAD and My friend banky whose motor I just swapped in his Nissan tried going through Chicago dodge dealer to have his friend who sells for em try and get me a warranty worked motor...which would be like a replacement or even a scrapped one...
Umm...I hope with that kind of power you would have a limited slip in there to help aid in traction. And whatever..I'm not going to argue with you on it especially since I haven't called any dealers on it. But 3000 for a head is complete bull **** if thats what it actually costs. I would just buy the entire car if you were that inclined to have an SRT4 motor in a neon. After all...thats bascially what the SRT4 is anyways...just a bit different lookin body.
