Yeah, thats what I've heard about their kits. I want to turbo in the future, but they are so expensive. It seems like I could find all the parts individually for cheaper than buying a kit from them.

 

Just curious - do the stock SOHC and DOHC engines hold up with a turbo or are other mods usually recommended?

 

From what I've read and heard about it, the stock motor can take about 8psi of boost (could be wrong on that one). Any more than that and you have to do engine work to strengthen things. Thats not including work that would almost certainly have to be done to the clutch and transmission. Probably wouldn't take long to destroy a stock neon clutch with about an extra 100hp over stock.
