Error code 35 - advice needed
Hi,
I have 1997 Chrysler Neon 2.0L SOCH and noticed that my radiator cooling fan runs until the battery is empty. I got an error code 35 - the radiator fan circuit relay. I've been searching all over the net for a help and really don't know where to begin.
Where is this fan circuit relay is located? Could anyone post a picture or anything? How expensive the part is, where can I buy one and how long does it take to change it?
I'm not into cars so I'm asking you guys to help the fellow Neonist out of the trouble. If one could also send me an email as I may not be able to reach the net but read my email.
Appreciated! Thanks!

According to the Hayes manual, the fan relay is inside the PCM(computer). Do the fans keep running even after you shut the car off? If it does, then you will most likely need a new PCM.
get a mopar performance ECU (pcm is the same thing), about $225 or so, there is a guy selling them on ebay right now
its a pretty easy job, the Pcm is located on the drivers side fender under the hood, unbolt unplug, replugg rebolt, start car

The radiator fan relay is in the PDC
relay controll is in the PCM
key on engine off your fans running
pull the relay's (in the PDC) one at a time 'till you find the fan relay
switch it with another relay with the same part #
if the fans work normally, replace the relay
If not you might need a PCM.... if the relay swap doesn't fix it I can run you through a few tests to find out what's wrong

That's why I call the Haynes manuals comic books. All it said was that it was in the PCM.[sm=smiley7.gif] I always liked the Chiltons manuals, but they're hard to find anymore.
