Default cv shafts.....

I was told by a friend that when removing the cv shafts from the transmission you just have to pull hard and they should come out. Then re-installing them you just line them up and push.... Is this correct?

yes, but when removing them it would be a bleeter idea to pry them out with a screwdriver or prybar, that wayyou dont risk pulling the boot off of the shaft...reintall is just align and push..no problem

You can just pull them off, but make sure you don't pull from the outter CV. I have a tool, I don't know what its actually for, but its like a big fork that has 4 fingers and goes on either side of the CV joint and when you crank it down it pulls the CV out of the trans. If you do use a screw driver be carful not to ruin the seals.

yeah just pull on em .... If you must use a prybar or screw driver be absolutely sure to point the Flat side of the CV input Down....and pry on that side...also be sure to not get any dust or dirt on the seal or rip the seal.

i wasnt talkin about prying it out like that...just wedge the screwdriver between the end of the shaft and the tranny and pop it out..real quick and real easy
