Yea, PVC piping is kinda pricey.
Almost $10 for a 90' joint alone!

Wait.
I just installed a third party un-branded CAI, and ran into a issue with the O2 sencor..... There was no hole for it in the pipeing.
I didnt see the O2 sencor in your images... where is it?.
How did you get around the issues (like the engine light being on constantly)??

Actualy, its an air temp sencor, not an O2 sencor (on my 2nd Gen)

I just installed my own semi-diy CAI and ran into a problem with it.
Unhooking it causes the Batt and Engine light to come on.
Leaving it hooked up, but not in the pipe makes the engine light come on and cause issues with the fuel flow.

Its basicaly just duct pipe that runs down to the front fender with a 'U' in it to prevent crap from getting up the pipe and into the filter box. At the bottom its open and at a slight angle to 'catch' air and 'push' it thru the filter into the engine as it were. But the angle is small, so its not 'forcing' the air.
Iv knoticed a slight increase in fuel efficency and HP when shes running.
I have a "HighFlow" air filter in place, its not K&N but some weird off brand from AutoZone. The filter area on it is 1/3 bigger than the stock filter and works a lot more efficiently.

It looks like this, but its not an APC filter.
view me

I eventualy did a work around and reconected the 90' downpipe that feeds into the filter box and things worked much better.

I have pictures, they just need rezising and cleaning up then Ill post em here.
