I can't help you, but the rear speakers are easily accessible, not sure about the front speakers. I would go to a stereo install joint and ask them what speakers are available for the car and then go on your own if you desire and install what you want after getting dimensions

rear are 6x9's and the front might be 6.5's....the first gens had 6 3/4's up front, but i dont know if they changed that or not...

3 ways would be the way to go if you dont want components....you will still get a good sound, but with a component set, you can position the different sound where ever you want them at....i always had components, but it was too much of a hassle finding a place for the cross overs and then wireing them all up, and mounting the different speakers...

just go 3 ways

6x9's in the rear, over sized 6 1/2s in the front, or 6 3/4 same thing, its inportant you get the right size front speakers as plan 6 1/2s wont fit for crap and you will cuss the whole time. i just replaced my girlfriends 04 sxt with mb quart 3 way 6x9 's in the rear, and mb quart 6 3/4s 2 ways in the front. theyare the discus series, shop around on the net and you should be able to find a decent deal on a set. the problem with componet sets is that they genrally dont do well without an amp, and are slightly more difficult to install, they can sound better if installed correctly but the difference is usually unnoticable to most average listeners, besides a the setup i installed is simple and effective and thats what most people want.the mb's play load and clear on a nice aftermarket deck, i have a pioneer premier, i also have 2 12" subs so it rounds out nicley, i have been installing for about 18 years so any questions i can help with i will.

What size are the tweeties in the front?, and is there an easy way to get to em?.

they are a odd size its easiest to put a good quality set of 3 1/2s in there if you realy need them, but you shouldnt if you got a good set of front door replAcments. take the 2 center vents out and there will be two screws remove those and the rest of the dash should just pop off.

my old neon had all audiobahn speakers in my old neon and i loved them. 6.5in compenent set in the doors, 3.5in 2 ways in the dash, 3 way 6x9's in the back all ran by 3 orion extreme 500/4 channel amps mounted in the back seat and 4 audiobahn flame Q 12's ran by a 2400 watt audiobahn high current amp all packed in the trunk.....we tested that one and you could hear it about 1 mile away, and thats with 3 kids in the back too
