Default Speaker sizes

Can anyone throw me a bone here? I am looking to start beefing up my stock sound system & phase one of this remodeling project is replacing EVERYTHING that the this bad-boy came with. I am already painfully aware of the fact that my Chrysler head-unit is oddly shaped, and therefore will require a massive black adapter. What I do not know is the size of the speakers that came standard in a '98 Neon. Anyone? I need you to be certain beyond a shadow of a doubt. My $$$, and your honor are on the line with this one.

Door are 6 1/4 you can fit 6 1/2 in there. And the rear deck is 6x9. And I'm not sure if you have the tweeters in the dash but I believe they are 3". Again, I'm not sure on the tweeter sizes..

You don't neccessaril need an ugly adator. There are plenty of 1.4 DIN receivers on the market, they look alot more custom than a single DIN unit will.

crutchfield.com says I have 6 3/4" speakers in the front & 6" X 9"s in the rear with no mention of dash speakers. alpine.com says I have 3 1/2" speakers in the front & 6" X 9"s in the rear with no mention of dash speakers either. I'll have to pull my car apart and measure for sure.

So do we think that I have 6'X9"s in the rear, 6 3/4"s in the front doors, and 3 1/2"s in the dash?

you are right about everything except the dash. I have a 98 and I have rear -6X9, door 6 3/4, in the dash is tweeters, I don't believe they are 3 1/2, I have directional tweeters cut through the dash.
