I'm planning on a SRT-4 swap but I'm trying to keep it auto with the PT Crusier auto tranny, it bolts up fine butcan it handle 350-450 HP?

Im sure it would handle the power, but why would you want to keep it auto? You can get ALOT more out of your engine if you use the 5spd MTX

LEARN!

The PT tranny may bolt up, but you are gonna have fitment and heat problems in the small 1st gen engine bay.

LoL. Well, If heat is the problem, I would just get a cheap tranny cooler at the parts store, but I still would go with the 5spd manual. Trust me, it is not really worth doing a srt swap with an auto tranny, you lose too much with that combo.

Won't work anyway. Thats why the 1st gen neon came with the 3-spd. Chrysler experimented with a 4-spd but heat was the problem.

An SRT-4 engine bolted up to the 1st gen ATX isn't a bad idea, just need to have the tranny built up. Nothing like holding down the brake and gas and already be in boost when you let off the brake.

First of all it is a 01 which is a 2nd gen. Also I would rather learn in someone else's car instead of in my baby.
