best drop in filter
I am going to replace my stock air filter with a replacement using the stock air box. I don't want to have any issues with warantee if there ever is an need. (your thoughts and experiances on this would be nice as well. How much can you do without getting into trouble with warantee prov.) What do you thing is the best replacement filter. AFE? KandN? True Flow? any other?

RE: best drop in filter
I have a K&N and really can't complain. I know some folks say they let dirt by, but I just pulled the intake tube off the other day and the turbo, tube and back side of the intake housingwerecompletelyclean after 10K with that filter on.
I've had K&N's on a few vehicles now and can't really complain. If you are gonna be in REALLY dusty conditions, then yes I would say get one that has a much higher filtration rating. But, mine is street driven 99% of the time and it's not real dusty / dirty where / how I drive, so the K&N suits me good.
Now, if I was to buy another one, it would be one of the dry filters.

RE: best drop in filter
Here's the one that fits mine. It's an E-0776. It says it fits 03-07.
The good thing I've noticed is that even if I'm on it to the floor, I don't get any restiction on the gauge. That is pulling 40 psi of boost on occassion. With the stock filter, I could pull the restriction gauge half way up, even with the truck on the stock setting and making 24 - 26 psi of boost.
