Now that I've done it once, I'd have no problems whatsoever doing it again. If you need help, then yeah, I'll help you out. Where do you live?

Yes, I DID run a return line from the FASS to the filler neck. That was actually a pretty easy task, and it sounds like fuel is GUSHING when you open the cap with the truck running.

I just got my FASS from Ken's Performance. Kenny is a super nice guy and he shipped it out ASAP. Put it this way, I ordered it on friday after 5 and it was on my step on monday. Doesn't get any better than that.

Check him out ...

If the FASS is out of your price range I skipped over going to Dodge and went to Cummins instead for my lift pump. Its the same pump that was in it before, and yeah it'll probably go out. But at the time it was a simple fix as Cummins had them in stock unlike Dodge and cost about $169 from Cummins. And the pump is very very easy to put in. It took me about half an hour for mine.

Get the FASS baby ... I LOVE it !!

At first I was like " eh, no biggie". I didn't notice a difference at all. I simply told myself that it was a needed device, not nessarily a "mod" device.

Then, I drove about 40 miles to my sisters house for a Christening. I hop up on the highway and still, no big thrills. I lay into ita couple of times, and it felt like each time I did, it got a bit better. On my way home I REALLY laid into it and didn't let off. It was the first time I ever was able to get my Ram over 100 mph. I got it up to I think it was 115 before I saw a cop in the distance with his lights on. I jumped off of the exit, flew down the ramp, and made it to a bar parking lot before he passed by. It was not only my first experience over 100mph in my Ram, but it was also my first lesson to the boy as to how to elude the law since he was riding shotgun. I tried to explain to him that mommy didn't need to know, but he dimed me out as soon as he saw her. The boy obviously needs some more work.
HAHAHAHAHA, "the boy obviously needs some more work" hahahahaha

I don't know if I entirely agree with you mj.

Yeah, the stock lift pump would be an easy replacement, but now that I can feel the difference between the two I would never go back to stock. That, and just knowing that the stock type pump WILL let you down eventually and kill your VP-44 is enough of a reason to save up a little more for the FASS. Even if you just go with the FASS pump but still use your stock filter, at this point I think ANYTHING is better than going back to a stock pump. Remember ... I didn't install the FASS because I needed a new lift pump, I installed it because I was told countless times that it wasn't a matter of "IF" my stock pump was going to fail, it was a matter of "when".

Joti .. yeah, that boy tossed me RIGHT under the bus !!!

Got the pump from NAPA as they were the only ones who had it in stock. Same carter pump as the stocker. Pressure is back up to 12 at idle bit it will get down to 3 during a hard run through a few gears. Looks like I'm gonna need some sort of auxilliary pump. I just can't justify spending the money on a FASS right now.

While I agree 100% that the FASS is expensive, when I heard that a new VP-44 was about 2 GRAND, that was all of the justification that I needed.

A little more than half that if you shop around, but expensive anyway you look at it. I think I'm gonna go with the big dog fuel system from these guys.

Here's the kit that you're looking at, and mine is below it. Your call, but you can definately see the difference in quality and where the extra costs come in.

I didn't like this line withtheirs either : 30 Day warranty. Pumps with Debri in them receive no warranty.

I believe the FASS has a 6 year warranty after you fill in the card. Something like that ...

Here'show the FASS arrives...
