Did I kill it?
FASS has two systems. The systems with filters and just the pumps themselves. The pumps themselves are HPFP's. They are a lot cheaper. If you look on that same site http://www.wideopendiesel.com/page9.html, you will see the pumps I am talking about. Just helping suggest another option.
Ive been hearing of a few failures with the walbro pump. . .there have been fewer with the FASS.
I'm still doing research on these types of pumps and how many of them are out there. theres one out there that will bump the inlet pressure according to turbo boost

Thx for the info, I am going replace my fuel filter every 5k miles. Hopefully that will keep the cp3 going for a good long time.
BTW this is 06HEMITRX4, I finally got my name changed to go along new CTD. THX DevilsReject!!!!

I can confirm that the 2005 Cummings cp-3 injector pump can withstand a bit of low fuel pressure,
I had a problem with lacking power from time to time the truck would under acceleration accelerate for 1-2 seconds and there after it would lose power and even one time completely stall (not fun with65 miles/hour down the free way and suddenly no power steering.)but I managedto pull out in the shoulder andafter a bit of trying to start again it started up and operated normally for about 30 seconds after that it would lose power after 1-2 seconds of acceleration.
the problem hadn't set any error code but I figured that it had to be lacking fuel so i set the handbrake and with the engine still warm from me driving home i opened full throttle with the tranny in drive, after 4-5 seconds I shut of the engine at 2000 rpm and went put and took the fuel filter top of, it was empty! (by the way don't do this with 2000 rpm and shutting of, it is hard for the turbo bearings and in general the motor)
so i thought okay new fuel filter, changed that and still it was not running properly, so it had to be the lift pump or debris in the fuel tank,
I unmounted the tank and took out the lift pump, what a mess, there were paint flakes inside that orange cup with the coarse filter in and it had blocked the fuel from getting to the lift pump in the tank.
The paint flakes must have come from jerry cans, they are for some strange reason painted on the inside with a paint that can not handle the diesel, so it peels of in flakes and I must have missed that on some occasions.

Over here there are no dodge ramdealers, so i fix everything on the car my self. a shop manual is a great help.
parts are from a Chrysler dealer, and ebay.com

uhm i don't know what to say to that i haven't tried the USA version, but i know that it runs better on the diesel ment for house heating than the diesel that you buy at the gas tank for driving on. i think its around 0.3 second i difference in 0-60 time. i do that in around 6.5 second on the house heating diesel, i don't know what you call that fuel but in Denmark it is called "fyrrings olie"
otherwise i think the car and engine runs great. but i also think that i have had a lot of problems the 2 years i have had it driving total 30k miles, the stock tires were useless on anything but dry pavement, so i bought a set of BFG A/T 315/70-R17 like the ones on my hummer h2 that really made the car perform so much better on snow, ice and dry/wet pavement. though a bit of rubbing on the linkage arms on full steering deflection. other than the tires i have had, a bad camshaft sensor (replaced), bad map sensor (replaced), blown intercooler (repaired), and bad power steering pump (not yet fixed) the pump won't give me turning of the tires when not moving, and rapid steering deflections up to speed (avoidance maneuver) i also only get power steering in the start of the movement. though some times it will actually give me turning when standing still, i have checked fluid, i still haven't figured that one out, maybe its not the pump but instead the piston actually moving the tires that is bad. sugestions are welcome for this problem.
