Yeah, I remember that that is the water seperator, but the instructions say to bleed off the water every 500 miles. I assume it's done by turning / opening that plastic thing. That's what i was talking about, bleeding the water out of the plastic thing.

Never had a water problem with my fueling station. Lots of the big rigs run the same filter/ seperator setup and they don't drain them. When we service them (10,000 miles) I pull the seperator and pour it into a jar and see how much water is in there, there usually is none to very little. So I'm not worried.

Oh, OK, I won't worr about it then.

Did I have it right though .... let water out throught that plastic thing? I'm assuming that since it's before the second filter that the air would be sent into the fuel tank and not up to the VP-44. Therefore you wouldn't hafta crack the line again. Right?

yes, the plstic thing will drain the water and fuel out of it. You shouldn't have to worry about repriming the vp 44 when you drain it. The pump should pickup the fuel fast enough. JUst to be on the safe side, I would bump the starter once.

thanks for the input guys.got it on and had to bleed my injectors.i ended up mounting it on the bed body mount.it turned out pretty sweet!as soon as i figure out how to i'll get some pictures in.
