Default Oil Change

So if i have a free oil change that i got from the dealer and its coming up on that time (well maybe a little past it since I have almost 7000 miles) but I'm wondering if its worth it. I have cut my cat and muffler off and replaced it with a straight through muffler and I don't want to get flagged at that dealership for it. Would they flag me for it?

What noise?? Just take it in and see what happens, if they don't ask, DON'T TELL!! The stealer here has a seperate area for LOF's and the guys doing it never ask about stuff like that.

I'd take it in. I doubt they'd say anything. Enough trucks run through that have been worked on that most mechanics don't even bother with it. And I doubt it would affect any warranty you might have on the truck.

I'd let them chane the oil, but just make sure they stop there. You don't want to have that back up alarm installed.[:@]

Nope, I don't have it. I've intentionally tried to make it beep. I think it has something to do with the stick. It can't really back up without me in it. If i leave it in gear it'll just stall. I guess I'll take it in and see what happens.

Yup, I believe you're right about the stick shift. My dealer told me the 6-speeds didn't have that stupid alarm. At least, they didn't in '06.

Isn't there a way to put a horn switch in there to disable it?

Flick the switch, disable the horn, that kinda thing.

thanks mayfair - thats not a bad idea and it wouldnt be hard to do.. but its one more thing to remember and probably would get overlooked.. i think it will only be an issue when im hooking up by myself and running back to check alignment.. i suppose ill get used to it

does everyone else disable the auto door locks and seat belt warning alarms?
