Default Turning Up A 12V Pump

Was wondering if I had the procedure for turning up a 12V pump up right. Once you get to the starwheel in the pump you turn the starwheel so it turns toward the drivers side wheel. I remember hearing that you turn the wheel "towards" you, but that can mean either direction and I really don't want to screw this up since its a friends truck.

8mm allen head to remove the plug, then use a flat head screwdriver to turn it twards the engine. this will turn the fueling up. but be carefull, too much and you will roast the turbo from the EGT's. also if you slide the cam plate around you can increase the timeing of the fueling.

this PDF will show you alot http://www.tstproducts.com/INSRUCT98.pdf

Ok, I get it now. Any idea on how far you should turn it without risking burning up the engine.

Not yet. He just barely asked me about it this morning and I was on my way out the door. I'm going to recommend at least a pyro if he does want to try it. He's not looking for a ton of power, just another 40 hp or so.
