The ecm monitors all of that so the dealer can bring it up with a scanner/ reader. If you have too much Idle time the can void warrenty on the engine for things like scored cylinders, bad injectors, ect. I'm not sure how to display it on the dash though (3rd gens). I know that you can't bring this up with out a reader on the 2nd gen's.

OK, so I figured it out. I was doing it wrong, I was holding the odometer button and then turning the key to run, the correct way to do it is to turn key to run, make sure you are displaying the odometer (not the trip) and hold the button until it shows up. Looks like this.

I have an 05, I can't get thehr's either, just goes straight to trip when pushed. When I hold it down, then turn on key, all the gauges go through their check, it says C code, then 64 07, then 00 00. What is it these numbers mean again?
