Mayfair, I would just as soon loose the resonator. As far as getting a third gen.tailpipe, I don't know if the quad cab set up would work. The mega set up, which I have, has the resonator.
I called diesel manor today and explained the situation and I have to say that they were very accomadating.
It came to the point that this was the first time that a mega cab dilema came to their doorset and they have since entered into their web site" this does not fit a mega cab ".
Long story short, ups the mbrp back to them for a credit towards a cat back system. And don't ya know that I grilled em' on " are you SURE that this will fit a mega cab without any frankinstien alterations ".
Good things are worth waiting for right?

your truck is built on the QC LB frame. . .it should fit, although you do have that resonator there for sound purposes only.

 

I got one of those also, but about double in size. Looks like a 55 gallon drum. It wont be there long though!

 

Mine is gone and am thankful for it though it is louder all straight pipe
