check for a pin hole in the lines where they bend around the bottom of the pan it just happened to me almost lost the trans .

 

ya I'm glad they decided to finally come through for me, but have any of you had your tranny rebuilt or replaced by a shop before? How long should it take for me to get the truck back i'm hurtin for money and need the dodge back, hmmm....maybe its time to sell the left ********???

 

A frend just had a 96 rebuilt around $1100.00

 

I'd expect to be without a truck for at least a week. I wouldn't rush the job ifI were you... let em take their time with it and get it done right.

 

ya that would be wise. um I have a question for ya, in the future I want to get a tranny thats really really beefed up to handle power, I am currently running the edge juice with attitue (came with the truck) and is probably why the trucks tranny went out in the first place, but I want a tranny that I can put that beast in stage 5 with no problems, is there a tranny out there that can handle that?

 

I'm not your answer man there, but perhaps since you have a guy working on your tranny right now you can toss him a couple of parts that you'd like him to use like a differnt converter ect. I dunno. Hopefully someone else here will be able to hook you up on that one.

 

ya I hope so cuz ever since I got the truck thats all ive heard is that the tranny's in the cummins aren't so great cuz they aren't able to handle the power very well, esspecially with it chipped

 

If you want a great transmission then talk to Dave at http://www.goerend.com/ it will set you back some $$$$ but he is one dam good rebuilder.

 

I don't know what state you live in, but in California you have 30 day refund now w/ used vehicles. They have to mention this in the contract or it is also voided. You do have to pay a 5% stock fee w/ the return. I also though it was a federal law not just California?
